Acceptance of Advertising

By placing an advertisement in any publication or website published by We Make Media you agree to be bound by the following rules

Variation of Acceptance of Advertising
We reserve the right to make changes to these Acceptance of Advertising. If We do change the Acceptance of Advertising, We will update the date above. If You book an advertisement after We have published such changes, You will be agreeing to be bound to those changes.

"We Make Media" means We Make Media Ltd, whose registered office is at Chudley & Co Accountants Ltd, The Old Bank Chambers, 223 Union Street, Brunswick Square, Torquay TQ1 4UT, also referred to as "We", "Us" and "Our". Registered in England and Wales. Company Number: 07111425. Vat Number: 983813974.

"You" means an individual person, a person acting as an employee or agent of a company booking an advertisement, also refered to as "User", and "Your".

"Websites" means the websites with home pages published by We Make Media Ltd

We reserve the right to decline, omit or suspend any advertisement, and acceptance will only be on condition that You warrant that the advertisement complies in every way with the Trade Descriptions Act 1968 and the British Code of Advertising Practice.

You are responsible for any libel or infringement of copyright in any matter supplied, and undertake to indemnify the proprietor against damage or loss incurred by such libel or infringement.

We decline responsibility for damage or loss incurred by such libel or infringement. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage or omission in printing. If an advertisement is omitted, We shall be under no liability to You other than to make a refund of the advertisement charge.

If copy instructions for an advertisement are not received by copy date, We reserve the right either to repeat Your last copy without further application and with no responsibility for errors, or to compile an advertisement from available copy on Your behalf with no responsibility for errors.

You will be sent a proof of Your advertisement via email to check and approve. If approval has not been received by publication date We reserve the right to publish the most recent version without further application and with no responsibilty for errors.

All advertising is cash or cheque with order. 30 days credit terms available on request, subject to credit check. Monthly payment terms are available on request, subject to credit check and a direct debit arrangement. If a monthly payment is missed We reserve the right to collect the outstanding balance in full.

If Your account becomes overdue, We reserve the right to suspend insertions and to take steps to recover the debt. Any costs involved in recovery of the debt will be added to the amount due. Interest will be charged at 8% above the base rate set by the Bank of England on any unpaid balance 30 days from the invoice date. Any advertising agency that fails to pay the account in accordance with the terms and conditions will be liable to a reduction in commission.

Cancellation of an advertisement must be received in writing by the following dates.

  • JanFeb issue: Cancellation deadline – 30 November.
  • MarApr issue: Cancellation deadline – 31 January.
  • MayJun issue: Cancellation deadline – 31 March.
  • JulAug issue: Cancellation deadline – 31 May.
  • NovDec issue: Cancellation deadline – 30 September.
  • SpringSummer issue: Cancellation deadline – 30 November.
  • AutumnWinter issue: Cancellation deadline – 30 June.

Cancellation of series booking: We retain the right to charge the difference between Your discounted rate and the full ratecard rate and/or the cost of any editorial coverage.

Advertisers who supply completed artwork must arrange to include a hard copy version of the advertisement showing all the relevant detail at the correct size required in the finished printed work, including colour, fonts, pictures and text.

If no suitable hard copy is supplied, We and/or our agents can accept no responsibility whatsoever for any errors or omissions in the advertisement as published.
