Go Furness is a website aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship in Furness. We worked with Furness Enterprise to overhaul the structure of the existing site, create a sophisticated new look, and "take it to the next level".
Since it’s inception, Go Furness has proven to be an invaluable resource for enterprising people to keep up-to-date with opportunities and activities going on in and around the Furness area.
With a wealth of content, and a broadening range of features, the website had begun to burst at the seams. It had become obvious that a re-think was needed, to build on the past successes and to “take it to the next level”.
We worked closely with Furness Enterprise to carefully review what was already in place, and how best to restructure the wealth of existing content. Content really was king on this project, and our aim from an early stage was to ensure that the news and features received more exposure, alongside new content areas such as video and photos.
Our creative design was targeted at bringing the content to the forefront, with simple navigation and easy access to the large archive of news and interviews. Achieving good accessibility was also one of our priorities, and concentrating on that from an early stage carried through to the final implementation.
The website is managed by a team of talented contributors, and so it was vital that we put a content management system in place which was quick and easy for them all to collaborate with.
