What we've done. Take a look at some of the fine work we've been producing, and get an insight into the way we work.

Case studies

We tend to be a modest bunch, and we prefer to let our work speak for itself. We've chosen a few of our recent projects, and written about how they were produced. We hope they'll give you an insight into our approach, and how we go about working with people.

Making the right connection

Expro are a world leader in the subsea industry, and we’ve been working with them to create unique promotional materials to publicise their state-of-the-art facility, including a documentary film distributed on USB flash drives.

Enterprising people

Furness Enterprise are the local business support agency for the area where we live and work, and throughout the past couple of years, we’ve been working closely with them on a project called Encouraging Entrepreneurship.

Digital gods

Lanternhouse wanted a website which complemented an innovative exhibition. Ananta is a modern-day re-imagining of the Hindu gods - we put our imaginations to work to create an online experience and learning resource.

Work in motion

Here, you'll find just a selection of some of the video work we've been producing. You can view a cross-section of the work we do: from short film commissions to promotional videos; coverage of live events to fully-fledged animations.

Low Mill

As part of an ongoing series of projects with Expro, we produced this film to document the grand design of a new multi-million pound manufacturing facility.

A Brief History of Barrow

Part of a series of films called Look Again... commissioned by Furness Enterprise. An animated whistle-stop history of Barrow-in-Furness, voiced by local historian Iain McNicol.

Toe by Toe

The Shannon Trust approached us to help them promote their work to improve literacy in the UK prison system. We worked with prisoners to tell their stories about the scheme.

The Circular Scrolls

A short animated film, commissioned to promote a series of books and as a sampler for a future film project. We developed an innovative 3D animation process, to bring the characters to life.

Talent Magnets

This film gives you a taster of some of the filming we do at live events. Talent Magnets was one of a series of business seminars hosted by Furness Enterprise.

Donika's Story

Another in our series of Look Again... films, this time exploring the delicate subject of Donika, who came to Furness from the conflict zone during the Kosovo Conflict in the late 90s.

Some choice extras

Although not strictly finished pieces of work, we've picked out this collection of videos to give you a flavour of the diverse range of work we do, and some of the extra-curricular activities we go up to, in order to keep our minds sharp.

North website design

When we set about designing the website for our North project, we thought it'd be interesting to record the design process to see how it develops. This 3-minute time-lapse gives an insight into how we design.

Raptors

Every once in a while we set ourselves aside some time to pursue a self-commissioned project. We call it personal development, and it gives us space to hone our skills and experiment in new areas, keeping our work fresh and relevant.

Working in New Media

We don't just walk the walk, we talk the talk too. Phil is a regular speaker at academic and industry events, and is respected for his no-nonsense approach. This is a talk he gave at Lancaster University as part of Insight to Creative & Media Careers.

VInvolved

We also like to get out and about sharing our skills, particularly when it's hands on and allows us to create something worthwhile in the process. This short film is the result of a workshop we created with a group of young volunteers.
