Spring has sprung
Things have been far too quiet on the website of late. It’s an unavoidable irony that the busier we get, the less time we have to make a shout about what’s going on in WeMakeMedia Towers.
Since the start of the year, we’ve launched several new sites, starting with In Vitro, which features an innovative short film by our good friends at Dreamtime Film and Whitewood & Fleming. As well as producing the website, where you can watch the full film in glorious HD, we worked on the identity for the film itself, creating title and credit sequences, posters and DVD packaging.
We also launched the first phases of new sites for Eldercare and Thorney How. These are the start of some long-term projects which we’ll be developing over the coming months. Eldercare are providers of assistive technology, helping vulnerable to live independent lives in their own homes. While Thorney How is a new business venture in Grasmere, offering environmentally-responsible independent hostel accommodation.
Another launch of note is Wild At Heart. They are a leading provider of forest schools in Cumbria and are doing some wonderful things with outdoor learning for youngsters, as well as providing professional development and training for forest school practitioners.
Meanwhile, in the world of video and print, we completed a programme of work with Creative Futures Cumbria, using video to document an innovative project of work, with creative practitioners working with school teachers. We’ve also packaged a series of DVD resources for Creative Futures, which are being used throughout schools in the region. And we’ll be working with them again this year on a new project.
Right now, we’re busy with a whole range of new projects including the next phase of work for Eldercare and Thorney How, a new portfolio website for Dreamtime Film, video consultancy with Alertacall in Cartmel and a super-secret project which we couldn’t possibly tell you about — yet.
Stay tuned: with all of these current projects, and plenty more gestating, 2011 is looking like another bumper year.
